Welcome to the Torchwood Institute

I can tell from my server logs that people are searching for all things Torchwood after Tooth and Claw aired in the UK last weekend.

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here in the US, obviously, but we manage. I certainly recommend that you find an official site on the Torchwood House -- and if you find a page that needs a password, it's a pretty easy guess if you know the Royal that appears in Tooth and Claw. (You can also get that information from Mickey's website.

There are other Torchwood fan-run sites out there. We've got Torchwood TV, and there's The Institute and A Torchwood live journal community.

One of the strange things about being an American Doctor Who fan is seeing Doctor Who return to the massive mainstream popular success that we were always told it was, but here in the US it has picked up a little in its cult popularity since Sci Fi started to air the first season a few months ago, but it's still a niche show. It's bigger than it was a couple of years ago, but it is not anywhere near the same scale that it is in the UK. I think it's difficult for people in the US to realize how massive it is in the UK right now, and I imagine the reverse is true in the UK, where it doesn't have the same mass appeal as it would in the UK for a variety of reasons, but is still a very solid cult series.
